Cadet Orientation Flights – Jan 2008

On Saturday January 26th, 2008 Northshore Squadron cadets Carlson, Hines, Lynch, Sabel, Snyder, and Thiele met at Paine Field for Orientation Flights. We were fortunate to have as pilots Lt. Chuck Jung and Lt. Doug Jacobs from the Paine Field Squadron along with two glass-cockpit Cessna 182 aircraft.

The weather report threatened snow. We didn’t have any snow until the very end, but it was very cold and breezy. All six Cadets were able to fly. For four of them, it was their first Orientation Flight. All cadets exited the aircraft with big smiles on their faces. It was a really great day and we heartily thank Lt. Jung and Lt. Jacobs for putting in the time and effort to get the Cadets flying. Northshore also thanks Regal Aviation for letting the Cadets use their facility to stay warm and study AE and Leadership between flights.   View some slides in the gallery below.
